1970 with Original Paint, Four-speed, and Side Exhaust
Wow, did this bring back memories of the 1970 convertible that I bought used in 1971. I had previously owned a 1968 coupe which was the worst Corvette I had ever had, but the ’70 was like a breath of fresh air – it was absolutely problem-free and perfect in every way. Mine was identical to this one except it had the 350 hp engine and didn’t have the side exhaust.
1970 was the last year for the high-compression engines and therefore many people value the 1970 performance cars over later ones. This ’70 convertible is almost entirely original, right down to the factory exterior paint. The side exhaust is the only addition to the way it was delivered to the original owner.
There are currently no bids in the No Reserve auction for this dual chrome-bumper C3 that starts at $22,000. Update: There was one bid for $22,000 and there was no reserve set by the seller, so it must have sold. The Buy It Now price was $28,500. What do you think?
