Throwback (2020): 1964 Daytona Blue Roadster – Sold For $38,500.

This clean-looking ’64 Corvette roadster was sold in a 2020 online auction and it seemed well-bought at the $38,500 selling price. It was apparently sold new in California with fuel injection and a 4-speed manual transmission.

The car was refurbished in the late 80s and the body was repainted in its original Daytona Blue (916). After that, other wear items were replaced and an aftermarket air conditioning system was added. Like many fuelies, the FI system was replaced at some point with a 4-barrel carburetor.

This car was fitted with knockoff-style turbine wheels and redline tires, and the white soft top looked to be in good condition.

The interior seats were dark blue leather (898) with carpets matching that color.

So what do you think? Would you have paid the selling price for this Corvette? And what would it sell for today?
