Missed Chance: 2012 Red Coupe – $26250. or BO
Two years ago, I’d been looking for a nice C6 and this had been on my radar for a few days. The price seemed very reasonable for a ‘12 and the seller was even open to offers. But before I could inquire about it, it was sold. This had looked like a potentially good buy in 2020 on a 14,000 mile C6 located near Leesburg, Florida (about 45 miles northwest of Orlando).
The Facebook Marketplace seller was the second owner of this six-speed, garage-kept car. It looked fairly original with the exception of some chrome pieces on the front fender vents and possibly an aftermarket cat-back exhaust.

I liked the low mileage as well as the fact that the seller provided the VIN to enable an easy Carfax check of the history. I would assume this was a base model equipped with the 1LT package.

I was curious about how much it sold for – it could have been $25,000 or even a little less. I’d been looking for a while and hadn’t seen a nice low-mileage late-C6 for anywhere near this asking price.
Of course, that was then. Now, two years later, an almost identical car with the same mileage sold last week for $31,500. It seems like two or three years ago would have been a great time to buy a C6 or C7. I think either generation would certainly have appreciated since then.
