On Dec. 26, 2019, this 2004 Z06 Commemorative Edition with 16,000 miles sold for $23,000.00.

On Jan. 28, 2022, the essentially identical 2004 Z06 Commemorative Edition below with 27,000 miles sold for $45,000.00.

How can this discrepancy be explained for two essentially identical cars?
Has the market suddenly realized that these cars are desirable and potentially collectible?
Or maybe the general escalation in Corvette values over the last couple years accounts for a $22,000.00 difference in selling price?
Or maybe it’s a combination of both market shifts? What do you think?
